Peterborough Beer Festival Tue 24th to Sun 29th August 2004 |
The Beer Festival is staffed by unpaid volunteers and just over 300 people help us at some time or other. However, that simply isn't enough. We desperately need more volunteer staff - remember that over 10,000 people came through the gate on the Friday evening last year. But don't think that you have to work behind a bar - there are plenty of other jobs to be done. We start with a green field site each year which means that we have to organise marquees, fencing, stillaging, bars, offices, toilets, shop, information area, electrics, stage, tables and chairs, banners, signs and posters... The list is endless - If you think you can help in any way, then please volunteer - You don't have to give up the whole week (unless you want to) or even a whole evening - Just tell us when you think you could help and what you think you could do. Our helpers get some free beer, a meal after lunchtime sessions, a cold buffet and soup after we close at night, free tea, coffee and soft drinks at all times, buses home at night North and South of Peterborough, a Beer Festival glass, discounts on festival clothing, some discounts with food vendors, camping facilities, good fun and a chance to meet new friends with an interest in real ale. If you think that you can help then please complete our staffing form. |
